Colin's experience includes first-time home buyers and sellers, relocation transactions, investment property analysis and acquisition, and move-ups as well as downsizing. He partners with a local law firm to assist sellers with foreclosure avoidance (short sales) and has been quite successful helping families out of very stressful situations.
2023 was a good year for Colin and his clients. He worked equally with buyers and sellers, and is grateful for his clients’ trust during the cycles our marketplace goes through.

"With the higher interest rates compared to the last several years the market cooled to a more normal pace. Homes that were properly priced, very clean and in good locations still saw multiple offers, but it was not the frenzied bidding wars of ’22. In the end the Minneapolis / St. Paul market saw an appreciation in the median sale price of homes of 1.4% in 2023.
Looking forward into 2024, the number of homes for sale in the Minneapolis/St. Paul market will continue to be under traditional norms and the seller’s market we’ve been in for many years will continue. Even as interest rates have stabilized, and might possibly go down towards the end of the year, buyers and sellers have realized that this is the rate environment we will be in for a while."
A little about Colin Simpson...
Colin grew up in New York attending Somers High School and then went to Edison Community College. He has lived and worked in other states, but he and his family recognize the beauty and value in making their home here in Minneapolis.
In 2009, Colin was honored to be chosen by his peers to receive the Ann Brockhouse Award for excellence in support, knowledge and service at Fazendin Realtors. He was also elected by his colleagues in 2012, and 2022 to serve on Fazendin Realtors’ Management Advisory Council for a three-year term.
